Terms of Service
Last updated: June 18, 2026. These terms govern your use of ShortFast at https://shortfa.st.
The service
ShortFast turns long-form videos into short clips. You provide a YouTube link or uploaded source file, and the service downloads, transcribes, analyzes, edits, captions, previews, and renders clips that you can export.
The product is under active development. Features, limits, model behavior, processing time, and export options may change as we improve the service.
Accounts and access
You need an account and an active subscription to use the app. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under your account.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, abuse the service, attempt to bypass limits, or create legal or security risk for the service or other users.
Subscriptions and billing
The current plan is ShortFast Pro at $19/month USD, billed in advance and renewing automatically each month until cancelled.
Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store full card details. You can cancel through the billing portal linked from your account page.
Cancellation stops the next renewal. Your subscription remains active through the period already paid for. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
Plan pricing, quotas, and included features may change. We will give notice before a change affects your next renewal.
Your content
You keep ownership of the videos you submit and the clips you export. We process your content only to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.
You may only submit content that you have the legal right to use. You are responsible for making sure that downloading, editing, captioning, and publishing clips complies with copyright law, platform terms, privacy rights, publicity rights, and any agreements that apply to the source material.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to infringe intellectual-property rights, process unlawful or abusive material, impersonate others, evade usage limits, attack the service, reverse engineer private APIs, or resell access without written permission.
Do not submit private or sensitive third-party content unless you have permission and a lawful basis to process it.
Availability and data
The service is provided as is. We work to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, exact AI results, or permanent storage of source videos, transcripts, previews, renders, or exports.
Export anything you need to keep. We may prune old source media and previews to control storage, and deleting a job removes its active media from the service.
Liability and governing law
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShortFast and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law. These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be posted on the site or sent by email. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
